How to Handle Mid-Career Crisis


             Imagine you are working for a company from very long time, your boss likes your work very much, you have received couple of awards and your carrier graph seems to be good, but one day suddenly company decides that you service is no longer required and your are Laid Off….

Have you ever thought how you will handle this stressful situation? I will share some of the tips to combat stress, and manage this situation and come out with flying colors

Don’t Panic- in this situation try to be calm and composed, the more you panic your thought process could tarnish and you will increase your stress level and this could lead to unwanted health related issues.

Workout: Try hitting a gym, yoga or Meditate sounds funny isn’t it, but these things can reduce your stress level during the time of uncertainties and can bring positive vibrations.

Ask Help from Your Seniors: Speak to your superiors and tell them about your situation and they could guide you to a right direction or could help you in getting a right job through their reference.

Be Active on Job Sites: Be active on Job sites, and start applying for suitable vacancy

Spend Time with your Pet: Spending some good time with pets could be very useful in reducing stress

Pursue your Hobby: Not everyone gets time to pursue their hobby, Use this time to pursue your hobby like painting, Photography or gardening

Enhance Your Skills: It’s always important to enhance your skills with related to your profession which could give boost to your carrier. There are lot of short term courses to which you can enroll to enhance your skills.

Speak to Positive thinkers: Speak to people with Positive attitude towards life and in turn you could also start looking life in a better way.

Be Active on Professional Networking Sites: Be active on professional networking sites like LinkedIn, which could help you in getting a job and also expand your network. Lot of recruiters are now looking for professional networking sites to fill in their vacancy.
